Jam Crostada

I always seem to have a craving for some sort of berry pie. Although I do like making pies, they are a bit labor intensive, which is one of the alluring things about crostadas. They are freeform, rustic, and oh-so-easy. You might never pull out your pie dish again. Ok, maybe you will. But less often.

Holy Grail Chocolate Chip Cookies

I think I’ve found it – the holy grail of chocolate chip cookie recipes.  It’s soft, chewy and a little fluffy.  I started with the Sunset magazine recipe, and messed with it a little (because I just can’t leave well enough alone).  These are fab, easy and sooooo yummy.  I think it’s the absence of the white sugar that gives them their chewy yumminess.  But hey, that’s my opinion.  😉

Oatmeal For One: Cranberry, Almond & Maple

I love breakfast, no really… I LOVE breakfast. I birthed a son who loves breakfast as much as I do. How do I know?

When I ask him what he’d like for dinner (which is once in a while), guess what his answer is? You guessed it, “Breakfast.”

I also love oatmeal, and I’m the only one in the house who eats it. Sad, but true. They just don’t know what they are missing! The upside is I get it all to myself. YUM. One day I will convert those silly boys. Until then, I’ll be making Oatmeal For One.
