Easy Cucumber Tomato Salad
It’s grilling season, and somehow I want quick and easy salads. Have cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion and some leftover rice or quinoa? Then you’ve got cucumber salad, baby.

Over the weekend, I went to the Gluten-Free Food Fair in Portland, Oregon. I learned a few things, and also tried some yummy stuff. I came away inspired (and full!)

Peanut butter chocolate chip gluten free cookies? Dairy free too? Yes, it is possible, and easier than you think. And mighty tasty if I do say so myself!

I think we’ve established that I like to cook. I’m not a great gardener, and hot pasta should never be mixed with blue (bleu?) cheese (trust me on this one). Right?

What I want to be better at is meal planning. It’s not that I don’t plan, because ohhhh, I do. Weekly. (I even wrote a little about it over here.)
What I REALLY want is a meal planning easy button. My friends, I may just have found such a thing. My friend Tanya showed me this cool tool this week, and I just HAD to share it! So, it’s this week’s Fab Find!

I had the distinct pleasure to help out with a Food Blogger Bake Sale last weekend. I arrived in the morning to display my goods, and meet up with others doing the same. Coffee in hand, and gazing across a table of food prepared by some of the most talented people I know, was a very good way to start a sunny Saturday morning. Click to read on…

I like to read. A lot. I’m going to make it a more regular thing to share what I find with you all, K? There’s lots to read, and one lifetime isn’t enough! Also, if you’d like to share something you’re reading, please leave it in the comments.
Here’s what I’m reading this week…

Who doesn’t love a bake sale? (Don’t raise your hand.) I’m giddy to say I’m going to be helping out at a Food Blogger Bake Sale this Saturday. All proceeds go to “Share Our Strength, No Kid Hungry” to help end child hungry right here in the United States. Get out your wallets kids, it’s going to be a delicious event!
While you’re there, you could even win something! If that’s not enough, there will be a WHOLE FOODS gift certificate available when you enter the awesome raffle! Tasty baked goods, helping a good cause, and the chance at some free groceries? It also looks like awesome weather, so come on out!
